The Shadowland Collection by Kona Bay Fabrics

Foliage

Don’t you just love pretty fabrics? Well of course you do. You are quilters. Fabrics just seem to call our name and many of us have more than we can possibly use in our lifetime. But, some fabrics come along and you are completely mesmerized by them and you just have to have them.

Gold

Well, that has just happened to me. Kona Bay Fabrics has an exciting new collection named Shadowland. This striking collection was inspired by vintage Kona Bay fabric and designed by Jason Yenter, President of In The Beginning Fabrics. President of Kona Bay Fabrics, Douglas Eagleson, said excitedly, “It is sure to be a hit”. He was right as it was one of the best sellers at the recent Quilt Market in Kansas City.

Amber

I can certainly see why and I am sure you can too. Just look at The Shadowland Collection on their website at www.konabay.com and you will see exactly what I mean. They are gorgeous – all of them; but, I do have my favorites. I am a fall person so I was immediately drawn to Foliage, Gold, Amber, Autumn and Grape to name a few.

Autumn

However, I must be fair and say I would love to create something with Nightfall as well. I can’t forget Ocean though, as I live by one (well actually it’s the Gulf of Mexico) but I think it counts.

Grape

This collection must be purchased from a retailer as Kona Bay is wholesale only. However, that is no problem as you can go to their website www.konabay.com and select FIND A RETAILER to purchase these lovely fabrics. They will become available at the end of September or October, so you have the whole summer to decide what you are going to make with The Shadowland Collection.

Nightfall

If your mind still isn’t made up by then, there will be a book by award-winning Quilt Designer, Georgie Gerl featuring six lovely quilt-projects plus different techniques with each pattern. The book will be available in September, so go check it out. I am sure you will agree that these fabrics are fabulous. Please let me hear from you regarding your favorite colors. It will be interesting to see what y’all choose!
